Director Business Development & Tender

As our Director of Business Development & Tender, you will be responsible for building strategic relationships, locally and globally, engaging with high-level decision-makers, and gaining deep insights into client needs. 

 

In this pivotal role, you will be meeting with key clients, attending industry events, and identifying influential decision-makers. Your ability to cultivate strong partnerships and extract valuable insights will enable you to develop clear strategies. By understanding our clients' needs and the challenges they face, you will position our company for success and drive growth on a global scale. 

 

You will also mentor and inspire your team of business developers and bid managers. Your strong people skills and collaborative approach will be essential in creating an environment where ideas are shared, and teamwork leads to winning outcomes. You will work cross-functionally with various departments, leveraging the strengths of each to develop innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs. 

 

 

As our Director Business Development & Tender, you will be accountable for: 

 

  • Signing new business & Clients  
  • Manage and drive Cegal’s global pipeline from a 1-3-5 years perspective   
  • Set directions and orchestrate team dedication and ownership required to develop crisp winning value propositions for every single tender resulting in successful wins  
  • Proactively seek RFP insight prior to RFP kick-off process  
  • Ensure win/ loss reviews are conducted & relevant learnings implemented  
  • Engage through relevant channels to ensure new business ideas are picked-up by Cegal and considered for future opportunities. This includes future customers/ technologies / products needs & trends

 

 

  

What is expected of our new Business Development and Tender manager?  

You are a proactive and innovative leader with a strong commercial mindset. You have the ability to understand and evaluate our customers' needs as well as to foster innovative solutions by driving collaborative discussions and actions.To thrive and succeed in this role you should also: 

 

  • Have domain knowledge from the energy sector (oil & gas, renewables) 
  • Have experience from both cloud technology and consulting organizations 
  • Have international experience 
  • Have a proven track record related to driving large Tenders into successful wins 
  • Be market oriented with a data driven and analytical skillset 
  • Have great people & collaboration skills and ability to create followership  
  • Be curious by nature and motivated by both learning and teaching  
  • Bring along advanced competencies in bid excellence and win strategies 
  • Outstanding presentations skills and storytelling abilities  
  • Define and present plans to CxOs and board level executives, both internally and with clients
