Key Account Manager - Geoscience  


We’re looking for a Key Account Manager to join Cegal, an energy focused, technology powerhouse dedicated to enabling a more sustainable future. Are you who we are looking for? Come join us!



Cegal offers market-leading G&G software and services, including interpretation, data conditioning, QI, and reservoir characterization, as well as subsurface data management and data science workflow solutions. We have hundreds of clients around the globe, from small independents to supermajors, and we're increasingly expanding into renewables and alternative energy markets to broaden our reach across the energy vertical.


To further strengthen our established team in the UK we are looking for a proactive salesperson with geoscience expertise to lead the sales of software and consultancy services in the UK South region.


The role involves growing existing accounts and expanding the new business pipeline  supported by an experienced team of sales and consultancy personnel. Some travel is required.


Your contributions:



  • Responsible for selling Cegal G&G products & consulting services to new and existing clients.
  • Develop strategies to generate new business across existing and new clients.
  • Develop strategies to cross sell or upsell new products to existing customers.
  • Develop and deliver presentations  of Cegal’s software product technologies & associated services to interested customers
  • Keep abreast of all changes/updates to the Cegal G&G products & consulting services to ensure customers receive the latest version and best available features.
  • Manage a healthy P&L for each account.
  • Monitor software product evaluations, taking them through the entire sales process.
  • Document, report & follow-up on all sales activity.
  • Manage annual sales target according to business requirements and report on account activity on a monthly basis.


Who you are?

To thrive in the role we believe you share our passion for technology and learning, and that you have:

Formal Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant business development/sales experience from the E&P sector.
  • Degree in a geoscience or engineering related subject preferred but not essential
  • Familiarity with Petrel and other subsurface software packages highly advantageous, as is an understanding of Geology and Geophysics workflows within the Oil and Gas industry


Personal Requirements


  • Comfortable in a client-facing and networking role
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Reliable, responsible and independent
  • Willing to travel
