Senior Business Consultant  

You know Hydrocarbon Accounting. Now imagine using that experience across different customers, challenges and solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Business Consultant to join our EnergyX team in Aberdeen.

You’ll use your Hydrocarbon Accounting experience to understand customer challenges, get into the detail of how they work today and help turn their requirements into practical solutions.

If you’ve already built a good foundation in Hydrocarbon Accounting, this is a chance to broaden your experience, take ownership of meaningful customer deliveries and work alongside people who understand both the domain and the technology.

What is EnergyX

EnergyX is a modular, cloud-native platform designed to support the full lifecycle of hydrocarbon management operations at both offshore facilities, onshore plants and terminals and renewable energy facilities like wind farms, hydrogen production and CCS operations. The solutions are built on modern architecture principles, offering scalability, security, and seamless integration with external systems. The EnergyX suite is composed of specialized modules tailored to key business domains.

What you'll be working on

• Working with customers to understand their Hydrocarbon Accounting processes, requirements and challenges
• Getting under the skin of production data, allocation and reporting processes, and identifying where things could work better
• Turning operational and business requirements into clear, practical solutions
• Taking ownership of your part of customer deliveries, from analysis and configuration through to implementation

• Mentoring team members
• Working alongside EnergyX product, technical and consulting specialists to find the right approach
• Building strong customer relationships and sharing what you know with colleagues

• Staying on top of industry trends

Your experience

You don’t need to tick every possible box. But you do need a good background in Hydrocarbon Accounting, because you’ll be working directly with customers and their operational processes.

You'll probably also bring several of these:

• 3-5 years’ experience in Hydrocarbon Accounting, production data, allocation and reporting
• Experience working directly with customers or business stakeholders
• Experience delivering consulting, transformation or software projects
• The ability to understand business processes and turn requirements into practical solutions
• An interest in how technology can improve established ways of working
• The confidence to take ownership while knowing when to involve others
• A straightforward way of explaining technical or complex subjects
• Ability to use technical knowledge to explain product specifications and complex concepts to customers
• Strong English communication skills
