IT Engineer - Network Operation  

We are expanding our 24/7 Operations hub in Malaysia – our main Asian delivery centre – and are looking for skilled IT Engineers with experience in Network Operations. From Malaysia, you will support mission-critical IT services for both regional and international energy customers, working closely with global teams across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.  

As part of our the 24/7 operations team, working hours will be 11 pm - 7 am Monday – Friday, and part of the weekend shift rotation (5AM - 1PM , 9AM-5PM 11PM-7AM). Work during public holdiays will be required. 

Work tasks and responsibilities:

• Design, configuration, and implementation of network solutions
• Operational support of network components including configuration, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
• Operation and support of network security components within LAN/WLAN environments (Cisco WLC, certificates, identity solutions such as Cisco ISE)
• Troubleshooting and support of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewall environments
• 3rd line customer support and incident resolution
• Implementation and support of IEEE 802.1X client authentication (wired and wireless)
• Collaboration with internal teams and external providers to ensure stable and secure network services
• Monitoring and proactive handling of alerts received from the installed technical environments.

Work experience from several areas within:

• Hands‑on experience with Check Point firewalls, Cisco routing and switching, and Cisco ISE
• Experience with dynamic routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP)
• Experience with connectivity towards 3rd‑party ISPs and knowledge of MPLS
• Experience with VPN solutions (IP‑VPN, SSL‑VPN, IPsec‑VPN)
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, NetFlow)
• Strong understanding of network monitoring and troubleshooting for:

  • Cisco Wireless (WLC)
  • Check Point firewalls
  • SD WAN Solutions
    
    
    
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in network design, implementation, and operations

Formal requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience.
• Relevant certifications.

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Fluent in spoken and written Malaysian.
