Managing Consultant - QI and Geophysics  


Cegal are looking for an enthusiastic QI and Inversion geophysicist to play an integral role in their technical sales team in the UK. The successful candidate will support an established team of G&G salespeople in delivering a suite of cutting-edge geophysical products and services to the UK and Africa markets. Working with market leading technologies like Blueback ODiSI (One Dimensional Stochastic Inversion), the client facing candidate will be tasked with delivering high impact client Inversion and QI studies, supporting a fast-moving team of account managers in the tech sales process, and being a thought leader and domain specialist in the use and deployment of Cegal technologies.


Who are you? 

  • The authority in the use of Blueback ODiSI as well as relevant geophysical techniques utilized within Oil and Gas.
  • Consultant tasked with managing, conducting, and delivering ODiSI related studies to clients in basins across the globe.
  • Responsible for maintaining highly technical knowledge of Blueback ODiSI, and a functional knowledge of all related Geoscience software products.
  • Technical support to customers and Cegal employees as needed.
  • Lead in technical demonstrations and customer discussions surrounding technical aspects of the tool suite.
  • Contributor to material including blogs, webinars, and demos for engagement with customers


Key task

  • Conduct, manage and deliver client service projects to a high standard.
  • Provide expert technical consulting for customers.
  • Provide in depth technical support for sales, marketing and business development engagements.
  • Provide critical feedback, testing and engagement with product developers to
    continuously improve the product.
  • Report regularly to customers throughout the lifecycle of consultancy projects and software deployments.
  • Support customers in extracting full value from all the Cegal Geoscience products.
  • Create and develop impactful presentations for engagement with customers.
  • Be proactive in maintaining a ‘Domain Expert’ level of product knowledge.
