We are looking for a London based Software Engineer to join us in “Shaping the digital future” of the energy sector. Cegal is a leading vendor of geoscience and data science applications and cloud-based services which work with large volumes of structured and unstructured data. You’ll be helping us design and implement new features and new products and maintain a strong engineering process.
Our software stack is heavily based on C# although use of Python and front-end web technologies are increasing. Of course, we do not expect you to know everything in these fast-moving fields, but we do hope that you enjoy the prospect of learning new skills at work.

Qualifications:
We believe that our new Software Engineer identifies with the following qualifications:
- High competency in a strongly typed language such as C#
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or numerate subject (e.g. engineering, mathematics, physics)
- Must have good analytic and problem-solving skills.
If we’re lucky, you will also have:
- Good Python skills
- Domain experience from the energy industry
- Experience with front-end web technologies
