Oracle Database Specialist

About the role
As our Oracle Database Specialist, 
your tasks will be diverse, but primarily:

  • You will join exciting transformation processes where you will help customers with advice, setup, tuning and maintenance of their databases
  • You will take part in project work with our customers where you are a participant or lead on a lift and shift to cloud project, an upgrade or to build a high availability environment
  • You will work closely with our customers to understand their challenges and opportunities
  • You will be a key resource when it comes to influencing the way forward and our innovation work related to optimizing our database deliveries
  • As an experienced consultant, you will be able to take responsibility for complex projects with e.g. describe and decide architecture and migrations
  • You will have time and support for competence development - something that is an important part of our everyday work, thus we invest in you developing and always being at the forefront

Who you are?

We are looking for both you who are new to the game and you who have longer- and relevant experience from the field. We believe that relevant experience can replace the requirements for education, and that your motivation, curiosity, and desire to develop compensate for missing work experience.

Our new Oracle Database Specialist has experience in these technological areas:

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Oracle Identity Cloud Service
  • Oracle Cloud Console
  • Oracle APEX Cloud Service
  • Oracle database management (installation, upgrade etc.)
  • Tuning of Oracle databases
  • Linux
  • Windows
  • Architecture Oracle Platforms
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ experience with Oracle Cloud


We also believe that you can recognize yourself in the following:

  • You are active in your field and always up to date on the latest trends and technologies
  • You have good communication skills and can identify yourself with being a fuzz fighter - where you communicate in a simple and efficient way so that complex concepts are also understood by a non-technical audience
  • You have good collaborative skills and are highly motivated to work in teams where you get energy from sharing your knowledge with others
  • You are proficient in both Norwegian and English fluently
