About the role 

As our Senior Data Engineer, you will: 

  • Work closely with our customers in all phases to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities 
  • Work with designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining scalable data platforms. 
  • Be the customer's trusted advisor and work with the development of solutions that create customer value 
  • Collaborate with your colleagues or other consultants so that together we can find the best solution for the customer 
  • Together with us, you will contribute to shaping and building a leading environment in Norway within Big Data and Analytics 


Who you are? 

  • You have a higher education in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science or similar (experience can compensate for the lack of formal education) 
  • You have experience in building jobs for data capture and data ingestion 
  • You know how to work with data quality and data security, data modeling, data mining and to facilitate data for analysis 
  • You are experienced in using git, have good knowledge with SQL and programming with Java or Python 
  • You have knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark 
  • Experience with platforms like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services is a plus 
  • If you know Linux, bash scripting, infrastructure as code, DevOps and have experience with monitoring data platforms you will definitely catch our attention 
  • You are active in your field and always up to date on the latest trends and technologies 
  • You have good communication skills and can identify yourself with being a fuzz-fighter - communicating in a simple and effective way so that complex concepts are also understood by a non-technical audience 
  • You have excellent collaboration skills and are highly motivated to work in teams where you get energy from sharing your knowledge with others 
  • You are fluent in English
