Senior Java Architect

About the role
As our Senior Java Architect, you will:

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams and take responsibility for design and architecture
  • Lift and shift Java applications to the Cloud using platforms such as Azure, Oracle, Google
  • Join our senior Tech-team in supporting younger consultants, while you get mentoring yourself from our Tech Mentor program.
  • Be responsible for introducing, training, and rollout of new technology
  • Have regular dialogues with our customers where you attend meetings to understand their challenges and opportunities. You will be strongly involved throughout the development process, from idea and concept to production and delivery
  • Together, we will solve important challenges in exciting projects, both with customers and internally in Cegal 
     

Who you are?

  • You have minimum 5 years’ experience as a developer, preferably as a Lead Developer
  • You have experience with modern cloud technologies and architecture where you also understand the tradeoffs of architectural choices
  • You are efficient and structured - both when it comes to presenting and documenting, as well as writing reusable code
  • You ensure that the guidelines and chosen solutions are in line with the customer's IT strategy
  • You have up to date Java certifications such as Programmer, Architect, etc.
  • You have up to date Cloud Certifications
  • You have a technical background relevant to our tech stack, and we are happy to see that you have additional knowledge and experience with: Git, DevOps, Automated Testing, API Management, Swagger, Ansible, Terraform, Linux, Hashicorp Vault.
  • You have experience with TOGAF, ArchiMate, Ardoq, Sparx, DDD, Azure WAF or other frameworks for Software Architecture
  • You are up-to-data when it comes to the technological development and actively contribute to technical discussions
  • You have good communication skills and can identify yourself with being a fuzz-fighter - communicating in a simple and effective way so that complex concepts are also understood by a non-technical audience
  • You have excellent collaboration skills and are highly motivated to work in teams where you get energy from sharing your knowledge with others
  • You are fluent in Norwegian and English
