About the Role

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and deploying implementations, configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and Wireless. You will work on diverse tasks, including both new challenges and standardized solutions. Most of the time, you will work as part of a team; however, there may be smaller projects that you complete alone but you will always have the team to support. You will implement and set up solutions before handing them over to operational teams, so there will be no maintenance.

 

You'll be join a vibrant and knowledgeable group of network specialists that designs, configures, and implements network solutions for both new and existing customers. Whether working on private, public, or hybrid cloud solutions for offshore and onshore clients, your role will have a real impact from day one.

 

A significant part of your role involves collaborating with third-party vendors, customers, and colleagues, and mentoring junior team members.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and implement advanced network solutions
  • Plan and deliver new implementations, upgrades, and pilots
  • Work with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Collaborate with product teams on innovative technical solutions
  • Provide third-line support and technical expertise
  • Work closely with vendors and customers for smooth project delivery and operations
  • Support our culture of knowledge sharing and help mentor junior colleagues

 

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures.
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP as well as switching technologies.
  • Expertise in network security protocols and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.  Competence with Cisco ISE would be advantageous.
  • Good troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently.
  • Wireless Networking: Understanding of wireless networking standards and technologies. 
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as Catalyst Center, Zabbix and NetFlow.
  • Vendor-Specific Knowledge of Cisco and Check Point.  Juniper and Palo Alto exposure also beneficial.
  • Experience with operations of network components - patching, configuration and troubleshooting, monitoring.
  • Experience with operation of security components within LAN/WLAN (Cisco WLC), such as certificates, identity solutions (cisco ISE)
  • Experience in troubleshooting and implementation of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN firewalls, etc.
  • Experience with 3rd line Customer Support.
  • Experience with 802.1x client authentication – wired/wireless

 

If we’re lucky, you also have experience with:

  • Solution Design, Architecture
  • Automating network tasks and improve efficiency 
  • Cloud networking solutions and services from providers like Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
  • Technical sales
  • Project delivery
