Data & Analytics Specialist

Cegal is seeking an experienced Data and Analytics Specialist to own and elevate our internal Power BI platform on a global scale.

 

You will administrate our internal Power BI, ensuring data is accessible, well-governed, and delivering maximum value across Cegal. You’ll collaborate across countries and legal entities, working closely with cross-functional teams in Sales, Finance, Operations, and more to lift Cegal’s data maturity to new heights.

Your contributions:

 

Your day to day will be to drive Cegal's internal business insights using Power BI. Promote maximum data democratization to empower as many people as possible with data for improved decision-making in their daily work.
 

  • Administer Power BI internally in Cegal: Administer Cegal’s internal Power BI Services/Fabric tenant, managing and overseeing all internal workspaces, datasets, reports, automated user access, and settings to ensure a secure and efficient BI environment internally in Cegal.  
     
  • Manage and Distribute Dataflows, Datasets and Reports: Develop, maintain, coordinate and distribute certified reports, datasets and dataflows for enterprise-wide use, enabling consistent, reliable insights across the organization. 
     
  • Data Stewardship & Governance: Establish and collaborate with a network of data stewards in various business domains. Work together to define data standards and ensure data quality across Cegal. 

 

  • Master Data Management & Strategy: Take ownership of Cegal’s master data management and drive the development and implementation of a cohesive master data strategy. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and governance of critical business data across systems and domains.
     
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with stakeholders from Sales, Finance, Operations, and other departments so that they can use internal data efficiently to make better decisions within their domain. 
     
  • Leverage Power BI & Fabric: Serve as the in-house expert on Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.  
     
  • Increase Data Maturity: Drive initiatives to elevate data maturity at Cegal. This includes organizing training sessions, promoting self-service BI in a governed manner and guiding teams to better utilize data for strategic insights in their domain. 
     
  • Drive Data Governance Adoption: Lead the charge in adopting data governance practices company-wide. Advocate for data literacy, transparency, and proper data management, ensuring that data is treated as a valuable asset at all levels of the organization. 

 

 

 

Who you are?

 

To thrive in this role we believe you share our passion for technology and interest in learning, and that you probably have:

 

  • Power BI Expertise: Extensive experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports, as well as administering the Power BI service (tenant-level settings, capacity management, workspace governance). You stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices. 
     
  • Microsoft Fabric & Data Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar analytics platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory). Broad knowledge of data management, including data integration, modeling, and architecture, to support robust end-to-end BI solutions. 
     
  • Master Data Management: Solid experience working with or implementing master data management (MDM) practices and tools. You understand the value of accurate and consistent master data and how to align it with business processes across systems and domains.
     
  • Data Governance Acumen: Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and practices. Experience implementing or working with data stewardship programs, data cataloging, or data quality initiatives is highly desirable. 
     
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders at all levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across diverse teams and global regions. 
     
  • Business Domain Insight: Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Familiarity with core business domains (Sales, Finance, Operations) and their data is an advantage, enabling you to tailor BI solutions that address real-world challenges. 
     
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Azure certifications, or data governance certifications) are a plus.
