Data Managers - Oil and Gas


We are looking for Data Managers in Oil and Gas to join our global technology powerhouse, specialized in energy and dedicated to enable a more sustainable future. Are you who we are looking for?


Who you are?
You are a Data Manager, helping us develop and publicize novel workflows transforming large and numerous seismic volumes that understands both legacy and new data that are either physical or digital. Being part of a team, you will allow data-science to be performed on complete seismic surveys in the cloud and transforming the underlying technology so that it can be deployed anywhere – on-prem and in the cloud.  When consulting opportunities arise, you will work to help the customer achieve their goals and expand their horizons.

Formal Requirements

  • You have a higher education in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science or similar
  • You have good competence in data modeling / evaluation and time series analyzes
  • You have in-depth knowledge of parts of the energy industry, and you have mathematics / statistics competence at a very high level
  • You work with our customers' data in a way that meets security requirements and GDPR
  • You are good at developing use cases, concretizing, and implementing
  • You have good communication skills and communicate in a simple and effective way so that complex concepts are also understood by the non-technical audience, both in English and Norwegian
  • An experienced data scientist with a strong geoscience background
  • Python and data-science-ecosystem development skills
  • Open and curious to the possibilities within the data management domain within oil and gas


We are looking for people with excellent skills within some of the aspects of data and information management, such as:

  • Seismic, well and production data management
  • Application geodata administration
  • Data formatting, quality control and loading
  • Document management, procedures, and documentation
  • Well logging
  • Real time support
  • Python or other scripting tools
  • Data governance and business processes
  • Industry common products like Petrel, Recall, Kingdom etc.
  • Diskos and other data sources
  • Databases and SQL
