Senior Corporate Controller

The finance department of Cegal’s Stavanger office will be strengthened with a newly established position as "Senior Corporate Controller" where the main responsibility will be to ensure compliance in the company's financial reporting within both NGAAP and IFRS.

The Senior Corporate Controller will collaborate with the international teams of financial controllers as well as the local Norway teams of accountants, controllers, and business partners. In addition, the new position will play an integral role in the Group’s financial reporting to top management as well as investors and other external stakeholders.

Your contributions:

As our Senior Corporate Controller you will:

• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and reporting for the group according to IFRS and NGAAP.
• Have extensive involvement in the annual reporting, including assistance with the preparation of tax returns, accounts and notes, both in accordance with NGAAP and IFRS.
• Successfully manage ESEF reporting
• Implement appropriate accounting policies, procedures and processes.
• Collaborate with the audit team to ensure that the company's financial statements are accurate and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Participate and support the company in business transfers and mergers.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve and optimize financial processes through digitalization and automation.

Who you are?

To thrive in the role, we believe you share our passion for technology and learning, and that you have:

• A Master's/Business degree in accounting/auditing/finance
• A minimum of 7 years relevant experience from auditing, finance, or accounting
• Relevant experience with year-end accounts, both according to NGAAP and IFRS.
• Good written and oral presentation skills, both in Norwegian and English
• A good understanding of relevant IT systems (Visma, PowerBI, Excel)
